Challenge Rules

  1. You must be currently enrolled in school or recently graduated- less than seven months -upon entering contest and not working as a professional 3D artist. If selected winner you will be asked for valid identification and must be present at the 2010 Evolve CG conference in order to claim your prizes.
  2. You must be a member of the EvolveCG forum in order to enter contest and are bounded by the membership Terms and Conditions.
  3. The submission must be created as original art for the purpose of the contest.
  4. Images depicting offensive content (i.e. racial, political, religious or anything deemed offensive) will be automatically disqualified based on the sole discretion of Evolve3D.
  5. In order for submissions to be valid they should adhere to the rules explained on “Rules” and “Categories” sections of the website.
  6. The team project must have a team captain which will be responsible for disbursing the prizes to the other members of the team. After official notice from challenge officials, should any disputes arise within teams awarded winning status; EvolveCG has the right to dismiss the team’s submission if team members are unable to find an amicable resolution. In such events, winning status will be revoked and status and prizes will be re-issued to next runner up.
  7. Neither EvovleCG- nor its sponsors -are responsible for paying any taxes or tariffs on awarded prizes.
  8. To further ensure that all entries are done solely for this contest, any entry without a work in progress posting will limit your chances of winning.
  9. No entries will be accepted past the official posted deadline. If it’s not in on time it will automatically be disqualified. No exceptions.
  10. EvovleCG decisions on the winners are final and can’t be disputed.
  11. EvolveCG does not require any payment for entry of images nor does EvolveCG offer any form of payment- actual or implied -to any entrants for submission and participation.
  12. EvolveCG reserves the rights to suspend, shorten, modify or cancel the challenge, including these rules, in any manner at its sole discretion with or without prior notice.

Copyrights

  1. You must give credit to third parties if you use any material from them i.e. concept art, references picture, voice sampling, models, etc.
  2. As a participant you are claiming the sole rights to the art that you are submitting.
  3. The winners grant EvolveCG the rights to use their artwork in any media (i.e. sales, magazine, and websites) for promotional use etc.
  4. If a participant wants to use their contest art in any print and or online media- for self exposure of any kind -they must mention that it was completed for the EvolveCG hunter contest.
